Professional Development

Professional development is a key component of the We The People project at the state and national levels. There are a number of opportunities for teachers to continue to develop their professional skills, inform and support the implementation, and continue their involvement in the program. To learn more about the programs available in Massachusetts contact Roger Desrosiers by completing the form below.

Framingham State University Course

We the People:

The Citizen and the Constitution

Understanding the Fundamental Principles, Values, and Institutions of American Government is a nine-week course offered by Framingham State University, during the summer, in conjunction with the Massachusetts Center for Civic Education. If you are interested in learning more about the course, please refer to the links below. This course will be available in the Summer of 2022, starting on June 6, 2022 and running for 9 weeks to August 7, 2022.  Given that the course coincides with teachers’ summer break, we make sure that the work is spread out so that the impact is minimized as much as possible while offering substantive and comprehensive learning about American government.
